(Junior) Data Scientist (m/f/d)

Wien
Full-time

Your mission

As a (Junior) Data Scientist (m/f/d), you will support us in developing quantitative features for our GRC software solutions. You will translate business requirements from the areas of Risk Management and GRC into quantitative models, structured logic, and data-driven analyses, and work together with our development team to integrate them into our software. In doing so, you will work with statistical methods, simulations, and structured data, while exploring how business requirements can be effectively modelled and technically implemented.

We are looking for strong team players who enjoy working on quantitative problems, have some initial experience with data and programming, and are eager to familiarize themselves with our software as well as the fields of Risk Management and GRC.

  • Develop quantitative models and simulations for our software, including statistical distributions and Monte Carlo simulations
  • Translate business requirements into logic, rules, and data requirements for technical implementation
  • Work with existing code and further develop data-driven features
  • Analyze, prepare, and validate structured data
  • Define test cases, review edge cases, and validate new and existing features
  • Systematically investigate unexpected results with regard to data, business logic, and technical implementation

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a comparable field
  • Basic knowledge of statistics, probability theory, and Monte Carlo simulation
  • Confident working with data structures and tabular data
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, ideally with initial experience in R or Python
  • Ability to read and understand existing code
  • Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented approach to work
  • Ability to communicate technical and statistical concepts in an understandable way
  • Interest in Risk Management, simulation, GRC, or quantitative modelling
  • Very good German and English skills

Why us?
